NIČ ZA VEGETARIJANCE / NOTHING FOR VEGETARIANS

Pa je že maj!

Najprej je šel na dopust moj šivalni stroj - je nujno potreboval malo TLC-ja po šestih letih pridnega dela.

Potem pa smo šli na dopust še mi. Na prekrasno družinsko potepanje po Pragi. Bilo je prečudovito in res smo uživali v gostoljubju naših prijateljev.

Zdaj pa je že skoraj minil prvi teden realnosti in z realnostjo je prišla že prva bolezen. Manumajčico št. 2 kuha vročina, jaz pa imam zato čas, da kuham kosilo. In to nekaj čisto posebnega - Sicilijanski ragu. Pred dvema dnevoma sem gledala oddajo Anthony-ja Bourdain-a No Reservations (7. sezona, 11. del), kjer ga je kuhala sicilijanska mamma. In ga nisem pozabila, stalno se je vračal v moje misli in zato že eno urico pridno brbota na štedilniku.
Natančnega recepta sicer nimam, ampak upam na najboljše rezultate in če se bo moja različica izkazala za dobro, jo napišem.






It is already May!

In April my sewing machine went on a sick leave- it desperately needed some TLC after six years of diligent work.

Then we went on vacation. We went on a beautiful family vacation to Prague. It was wonderful and we really enjoyed the hospitality of our friends.

Now the first week of being back to reality is almost over and it brought with it the first illness. Manugirl No.2 is in bed with high fever and I have time to cook lunch. And today I am making something new - Sicilian ragu. I watched Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations (Season 7, Part 11), where a Sicilian Mamma prepares it. And I could not forget it, my thoughts constantly returned to that footage. And because of all that, the ragu is already bubbling on the stove.

I do not have an exact recipe, but I am hoping for the best results and if my version of this dish turns out well, I will post the recipe.
